Your Herzing preceptor, [secured] before the deadline.
Herzing expects you to find your own preceptor first — and its Placement Pledge only steps in after you've completed every step and started two months out. We line up a qualified, Herzing-approvable preceptor early, so you clear the deadline instead of gambling on the backstop.

Herzing's Pledge has a gate. We get you through it.
Herzing's APRN Clinical Placement Pledge is real — but it only catches you after you've done every step yourself and started early enough. Drag the start to see how the gate opens or closes.
The placement is yours to make.
The legwork is ours.
Herzing puts you in the driver's seat and backs you with a Clinical Placement Advisor and Coordinator. We ride alongside, doing the time-consuming work that decides whether your practicum starts on schedule.
Source the preceptor
›We find board-certified NPs and physicians near you who fit your specialty and have room to take a student — so you're not cold-emailing clinics for months.
Aim for approvable sites
›Herzing has to approve every site and preceptor. We target placements that fit your program's population focus and documentation so approval isn't a surprise.
Beat the deadline
›The Pledge wants you starting two months out. We work the search early and keep the preceptor CV and agreement moving so you clear the clinical application window.

Three moves to a cleared start
Tell us your track & deadline
Your specialty, your city, and your clinical application deadline. We map the hours and the window your placement has to clear inside.
We source & aim for approval
We line up a qualified preceptor near you whose practice fits your population focus, and gather the CV and agreement your program needs to approve it.
You start on schedule
Preceptor confirmed, paperwork filed, deadline met — so you walk into your practicum on time instead of waiting on a conditional backstop.
The backstop is real.
So is the fine print.
Herzing will step in to secure a placement — but only if you've completed every step yourself and started at least two months before the deadline, and only for sites it approves. Most of the risk lives in those conditions. That's the part we take off your plate.
Cleared the gate, started on time
I didn't realize the Pledge had so many conditions until I read the fine print. They had a preceptor lined up well before my two-month window.
Finding a psych preceptor on my own was going nowhere. They found one my program approved on the first submission.
I was weeks from my clinical application deadline. They moved fast, and the site they found fit my population focus exactly.

Good to know
Doesn't Herzing place me itself?
Herzing asks you to take an active role in finding your own clinical site and preceptor, backed by a Clinical Placement Advisor and Coordinator. Its APRN Clinical Placement Pledge will step in to secure a placement — but only after you've completed every required step and started at least two months before your clinical application deadline, and only for Herzing-approved sites. We're an independent service that does that legwork with you and lines up a qualified, approvable preceptor early, so you don't have to rely on the conditional backstop.
Is the Placement Pledge a money-back guarantee?
No. The Pledge is a commitment to help secure your placement if you've met its conditions — it is not a tuition refund, and we don't represent it as one. Always confirm the exact terms in your Herzing Graduate Catalog and with your advisor.
How many clinical hours will I need?
Herzing's MSN NP tracks are commonly published at 585 clinical hours for FNP, AGACNP and Pediatric Primary Care, and 540 hours for AGPCNP and PMHNP (with a 180-hour immersion). DNP tracks add doctoral practice hours. We confirm your exact hours, practicum sequence, and deadlines against your current handbook before we match you.
Are you affiliated with Herzing University?
No. We're an independent clinical placement service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Herzing University or the CCNE. We help students of the program meet the school's own clinical-placement expectations and approval requirements faster.
